Lucy Lou art doll

Lucy Lou attends Ms. Creant's School for Proper Boys and Girls, where she learns and excels at subjects such as numbers, literature, and etiquette. She is a smart and pretty girl with a loyal following, but her globe-trotting parents and attentive teachers would be shocked to learn that something black and unctuous broils under her neat and presentable appearance. For Miss Tiddly scolded her for giggling during teatime, and Lucy Lou does not like to be scolded. And today, she has an apple for Miss Tiddly. A special apple...

Lucy Lou art doll is eleven inches tall, and created from paper and polymer clay, paints, pastels, wool, and recycled fabrics. Her legs are soft-bodied, and her arms are semi-posable. Her clothes are not removable. She comes with her very own special apple.

You can find Lucy Lou here at Miss Millificent's Mesdamoiselles.

Pendant Preview

Something or other from Perfidious Beadworks! Yaaay something or other!

I'm still muddling through some Victorian hairwork bracelet ideas, but in the meantime I've put together a couple of Steampunk pendants using copper and glass from the scrap bin at work, along with a Victorian engraving, antique watch parts, vintage beads in the chain, and found objects. Not the best photo on the planet, but I just wanted to give a general idea.

Or something.

The pendants themselves are quite large--nearly 4" from the top D-ring to the bottom of the key.

Back to my nap.

Sorry about that, Etsy Dark Team! Wrong blog!

Happy Year of the Tiger!

Happy Year of the Tiger and I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day! With this being the beginning of a kitty year of course I had to make some kitty-esque items... kitty Batlings, that is.

I have also added a Maneki Tora (aka Lucky Tiger) to my Neko series.

This Maneki Tora is already spoken for but I'll gladly stitch up a custom one if requested. I plan to add some to my Etsy shop in the near future once I get through the pile of critters that are already clambering across my desk!

Wonderland Glass Lockets

Hello! I realize it's been a while since I've updated, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things now.  For those of you who don't know, I've been working on my painting lately, and have started on a Wonderland series of acrylic works.  The originals all end up at Hyaena Gallery in Burbank (and are available for sale through their website), but I've decided to get creative with some prints from the series!  I got some new glass lockets that are fully reversable, and I thought it might be fun to make some mini prints of my artwork to put in them!  The mini prints are each hand-signed, and have been made into magnets so that they are easily stored but not easily lost.  I started with the Cheshire Cat print!
The idea with these pendants is that you can change out the print whenever you like, or even put a photo behind it to make it reversable!  Once you remove the print, all you have to do is place it on a magnetic surface to make sure it doesn't get lost.  Once I have finished a few more of the Wonderland paintings, I'll be listing sets of 5 mini print mangets on a small magnetic stand that you can place on your vanity for safekeeping.  You will never have to buy another pendant to get the design you want, just purchase the mini print sets and use the same pendant over and over!

I'm going to try to get at least three more paintings finished by the end of this month, so be on the lookout for the mini print sets in any of my shops in the beginning of March!

Thanks for looking!
