You heard me correctly...dark side team member BCCJULI has gone completely batty...batty for the Bat World Sanctuary, that is. Juli, one of the talented crafters at bccjuli.etsy.com, is donating 15% from the sale of each large bat to the Bat World Sanctuary. The Bat World Sanctuary works on ending the abuse and destruction of bats. The non-profit organization also rehabilitates and releases sick, injured and orphaned bats. For non-releasable bats they provide lifetime care and sanctuary. Juli is doing her part for our misunderstood bat friends by donating to this wonderful charity. What a spooktacular purchase, a custom doll from The Poisoned Apple (Pasha13.Etsy.com)!

This doll was custom designed from a couple of pictures and written descriptions. It only took a week to create, which is exactly what I was told by the seller when I placed the order. Shipping was quick and the doll was so well packaged I had to wrestle it out of all the bubble wrap! In my opinion she doesn't charge nearly enough for these hand painted and hand sewn creations. It is exactly what I wanted and I will definitely be buying from her again!

I purchased a custom Kilt pin for my husband from StemOfThorns.Etsy.com . We had excellent communication about the creation of the pin. Not only did the pin arrive fairly quickly, it was safely packaged, and the Kilt pin was wrapped as gift. It's obvious this seller puts a lot of love and care into her work! The price was more than right, I would gladly have paid more for this lovely. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Needless to say, my husband was absolutely pleased and wears it to this day.

Review: Static White's Stitchery meets Urban Threads

Urban Threads and I got to chatting about skull beads which I always seem to have in abundance. Chatting about skull beads turned into the idea of doing a swap. The swap turned into a wonderful surprise when I opened the box!

Within the magical box of embroidery goodness there was a soft & squishy jersey pillow with 2 crowned skulls, a little purple voodoo dude, mini tote with skull & crossbones, embroidery templates & thread, hand towels: crow on skull & skull with top hat (hidden under the other, sorry!). In my excitement I forgot to include the glow stick bracelets she sent me also.

She can definitely embroidery like no tomorrow! I am one lucky gal.
