Voodoo Doll
This doll stands approx 12 inches without headdress and 18 inches with headdress. The headdress is detachable. There are three images painted on this doll.
Human Heart : This image is on the front, left side of the doll.
Baron Samedi: He appears as a skeleton attired in black or purple top hat and tails, and carries a walking stick. Baron Samedi stands at the crossroads, where the souls of dead humans pass on their way to Guinee. This is painted on the front right leg.
Papa Legba: He stands at a spiritual crossroads and gives (or denies) permission to speak with the spirits of Guinee, and is believed to speak all human languages. He is always the first and last spirit invoked in any ceremony, because his permission is needed for any communication between mortals and the loa - he opens and closes the doorway. This symbol is painted on the back of the head.
