New Critters!

Not only is there a new Scrap Bat flapping around but there is also a mysterious little bunny that snuck in one night and has yet to leave.

Sverrir & Mini Ninja Bunny Foo

As you can see the bunny tries to practice his stealth on the Bats but he's just not very good at it... yet.

Review: Trade - LushPUNK.Etsy.com & BellaLili.Etsy.com

I have always had my eye on this fantastic zombie girl pendant in BellaLili's shop, and she said I could have it in return for some graphic design work. Yay!

I wasn't sure if the banner I made for her would be a fair enough trade so I made her a background design also, just in case. In return I received the zombie pendant! I was so impressed with the packaging – the pendant came in a little tin with a metal skull on the top! It's so cute! The pendant itself came on a black backing card with a spiderweb drawn onto it. And, it only took about a week to get to me which is great since I'm in Australia and she's in the US!

BellaLili is really nice and it was great chatting with her. The pendant is so cute, I can't wait to wear it!

   Thanks, BellaLili!

Knife Throwing

Tiny Tragedy number nine in The Tiny Tragedies series of dolls.

A circus side show of a knife throwing act has taken a dreadful turn in front of an audience of children and horrified onlookers. Our amateur impalement artist has ended her burgeoning career with one fateful turn of the wind.

Box stands almost a foot tall at 11 1/2 inches. 9 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches deep. This piece has been mounted to be hung on your wall.

Story card measures 10 inches tall and 7 inches wide and is tied with a black ribbon.

Each doll stands 5 inches tall and both are wearing one of a kind dresses.

Chenille Macabre Holiday What-not

Yipes. Almost forgot to sign in with y'all.

Just before I sign off for 2008, I wanted to post four more horrors from the Chenille Macabre line-up. We've got large figures of both the legendary, three-headed Cerberus and another of our popular Loup-Garou line.

On the miniatures front, a Clownface Psycho is looking to make trouble, along with another of our delightful little Gargoyles. All figures and miniatures have pipe cleaner foundations, are signed, and are poseable.

...I really wanted to get a Misfit Toy done for December's Etsy Dark Team theme (it would've been a Russian Cheese Grater Doll- or Garlic Press- instead of a Nutcracker) but- and this is not complaining- I've been occupied with custom orders all through the month. I'm still doing them. (Supposedly there's an occasion or something coming up.) I'll have photos of all of these projects up soon on my deviantART page (not all of the work was through Etsy) so check back in a few days if you're keen.

This will be my last post until 2009; I'm taking a little break from the store for a bit. Happy Holidays to all, have a great New Year, and keep art dangerous!

Skull Painting with Black Hearts

Spooky spiders, black hearts, and lots of triangles. The skull speaks to you. You need hims!

How-To: Inexpensive Trimmed Tablecloths

Whether your purse strings are strained or you just want some nice tablecloths without spending an arm and a leg at local chain store, and have some time to spare, here's a way to do it!

I made these for my very low budget, non-traditional wedding reception and they were an absolute hit. 2 in Sage Green, 2 in Ivory. With different colors sheets and trim you could make festive tablecloths for every season or holiday!

Did you know a full sized flat sheet fits a banquet sized table (4-6 seats) with a little adjustment? I did after a bit of math!

New at Chenille Macabre!

Today I plumbed the Fantasy Game encounter tables for this week's Chenille Macabre monsters...

Hmmm... looks like we're starting at the Tenth Level first. D'oh! Well, at the bottom of this dungeon lurks a Skeletal Demon Mini. A ferocious Manticore Mini is guarding the entrance to his lair, while outside a Dire Bat Mini flutters about the cursed glade.

Buy them all and buy them often! ;)

Review: Agonysdecay, from Kaleidoskopic Romance

I purchased this gothic pendant (#3) from agonysdecay. This is the fourth time I have bought from her, and I can say that I never get tired of looking at all her fabulous goodies.

I ordered the pendant last Sunday, in the afternoon/evening. I received a convo from her just about 2 hours later, thanking me for the purchase and offering to ship a custom-made choker along with the pendant. I didn't need it, but the offer was very attentive and generous of her. On Monday I received an e-mail with the tracking number of my package (super fast shipping time, wow!) and today I was picking it up from my mail box.

Oh my goodness, what a treat it is opening her packages! The first thing I found was a sample gardenia skull soapie from her shop, along with promos from NatashaBlue, KatzKlawz and a sample perfume from Ahna, that smelled to die for. There was too a fun ghost bag with a box inside, carefully protected with bubble wrap. When I took the box out I couldn't believe my eyes: it was a lovely coffin box! And inside was my beautiful pendant. it was exactly as shown in the pic, a gorgeous blood red cabochon, but you have to see it in person to appreciate its dark beauty; definitely worth the price, which was very reasonable.

There were also some fun bat confetti that I am grateful she included. I will use them to decorate the windows of my dollhouse!

I couldn't help to snap a pic to share my enthusiasm. Jen, you are THE BEST!

Christmas Calamaties: The Princess of the Peppermint Parade

The Princess of the Peppermint Parade was overzealous in her consumption of candy during the parade route, and choked to death in front of onlookers who thought she was laughing at all the holiday fun! Goodness gracious!
